Is a Barcelona city tour worth it?

If you have limited time in Barcelona or simply want to make the most of your visit, a city tour by hop-on/hop-off bus is a great way to get to know Barcelona.

The Catalan capital is large and its sights are spread over various districts. With the sightseeing bus you can visit places like Montjuïc, Park Güell and the world-famous Sagrada Família without much effort.

Experience all the attractions on a round trip without getting off or get off, visit a sight and then continue your journey. In high season, buses run every few minutes. Note, however, that the buses can be full when there are many tourists in town.

During the journey you will hear a recorded audio commentary in more than ten languages. You learn not only what you see, but what the significance of a district or sight is.

On sunny days, you can sit on the upper deck with the roof open and watch the highlights of Barcelona pass by. With the help of the free wifi on board, you can plan your trip during the journey.

A city tour on a hop-on/hop-off bus is a convenient transport option. Especially for tourists who are not familiar with the foreign city or do not speak the language, it is reassuring to know that they can rely on an organised tour that will take them safely to the main attractions. Bear in mind, however, that buses sometimes move slowly in the tough city traffic.
