Hop-on/hop-off bus: places of interest

The most famous sight in Cologne is probably Cologne Cathedral. However, you can discover many other attractions on a city tour. Here we have put together a few that you can easily reach by hop-on hop-off bus.

  • Cologne Cathedral
  • Hohenzollern Bridge
  • Cologne Old Town
  • Ludwig Museum
  • Chocolate Museum
  • Botanical Garden
  • Roman-Germanic Museum
  • Wallraf-Richartz Museum

You can get on and off as often as you like at each stop. Or you can use the buses for a complete city tour without getting off. Some sights do not have their own bus stop. You should therefore plan for a short walk.

Is a city tour of Cologne worthwhile?

Cologne has a lot to offer its visitors. In addition to sights such as Cologne Cathedral, the city is also known for the colourful hustle and bustle of Cologne Carnival. The diverse city on the Rhine is particularly easy to explore on a hop-on hop-off bus.

A key advantage of the hop-on hop-off bus is the flexibility it gives you. You can get off at the various stops as you wish and explore the sights at your own pace. This allows you to experience highlights such as the imposing Cologne Cathedral, the Hohenzollern Bridge or the charming Old Town at your own pace without being tied to a tight schedule.

The buses also offer an informative audio guide in various languages, which provides passengers with interesting background information on the places they visit. This audio-based tour not only provides interesting facts about the history of the city, but also anecdotes and stories that enrich the cultural experience.

Thanks to the elevated seating position, you can enjoy the marvellous panoramic view of the city as you roll comfortably through the streets. Take advantage of the excellent photo opportunities and get a relaxed overview of the various city districts.

The bus routes are also planned so that you don't miss any important sights.

If you don't want to worry about planning and organisation, the hop-on hop-off tour is a practical, informative and convenient way to discover the beauty and diversity of Cologne.
