Is a Stuttgart city tour worthwhile?

Stuttgart is a diverse city with many sights and neighbourhoods that are well worth a visit. However, as it is also a sprawling metropolis, it can be quite strenuous to explore Stuttgart on foot. An organised hop-on hop-off tour, on the other hand, guarantees a relaxed journey from highlight to highlight.

A major advantage of the Stuttgart hop-on hop-off system is the flexibility it offers visitors. Passengers can hop on and off at prominent stops according to their own schedule to explore the city's highlights. Whether it's Schlossplatz, Neues Schloss, Mercedes-Benz Museum or Königstraße - the buses follow a well thought-out route that allows tourists to create their own itinerary.

You are guaranteed not to miss any of Stuttgart's highlights. The buses take you through historic neighbourhoods, modern architecture and green oases such as Rosenstein Park. The predefined routes provide a comprehensive overview of the city without having to familiarise yourself with the complex public transport system.

All hop-on hop-off buses are equipped with multilingual audio guides. These provide passengers with interesting facts and background information on the sights visited during the journey, making the city tour not only entertaining but also educational.

If you want to enjoy Stuttgart in comfort and relaxation without having to worry about navigation and planning, a hop-on hop-off tour is the perfect choice.

CityTour

Hop-on/Hop-off in Stuttgart: City Tour Bus
Stuttgart Marketing GmbH, Pierre Polak

Stuttgart CityTour is the only provider of hop-on hop-off tours in the city and offers trips on three different routes.

The wine tour is organised with smaller, electrically powered open-top buses.

The classic dark red double-decker buses run on the other routes. When the weather is fine, the upper deck can be opened, giving you a clear view of the city's sights. But even when the top is closed, the large panoramic windows offer a good view.

There is a multilingual audio guide on board.
