Hop-on/hop-off bus: places of interest

Florence is famous for its art galleries and the cathedral, whose dome towers over the city. There are also palaces, squares and other sights. Most of them can be reached by hop-on hop-off bus.

  • Galleria degli Uffizi
  • Galleria dell'Accademia
  • Cathedral
  • Palazzo Vecchio
  • Piazzale Michelangelo
  • Teatro Romano
  • Porta Romana
  • Boboli Garden
  • Palazzo Pitti

Simply get off at the nearest stop, visit a sight and then continue your journey.

Attention: Many sights are located in the old town of Florence. Buses are not allowed to go through the old town. However, there are several stops outside the city walls, so the next sight is not far away. In any case, be prepared to walk some distances.

City Sightseeing is known worldwide for its red hop-on/hop-off buses that not only travel through Rome, Naples and Verona - but also through Florence.

In high season, the red double-decker buses run daily on two routes through Florence. In fine weather, the upper deck is open and offers a magnificent view of the city. When it rains, the roof can be closed.

There is an audio guide in eight languages on board. We recommend downloading the Sightseeing Experience app. This allows you to follow the location of the buses live.
